The Brown University Sports Foundation (BUSF) is committed to providing financial support to ensure a quality athletic and education experience for Brown student-athletes and the entire Brown community. The Sports Foundation is responsible for providing almost 50 percent of the athletic department’s budget each year through a combination of annual fundraising and earnings from Brown Athletic endowments.
Through the Sports Foundation you provide a:
- FOUNDATION for all student-athletes and coaches participating in any of the 38 varsity and numerous club sports
- TRANSFORMATION of Brown’s athletic facilities so they reflect the overall excellence of the University
- FUTURE for Brown’s talented student-athletes—both on and off the field/court
- SERVICE each and every year for special projects and/or trips for our student-athletes

Jack Blasberg ’16 | In my last year, my focus won’t be on how much time is left, but on experiences compiled in the past three years – and counting – on the team.
Alex Markes ’15 | Student-athletes often look beyond the wins and losses and work to leave the program in a better place than when they arrived.
Lars Tiffany ’90 | Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach Lars Tiffany ’90 struggled to accept his calling, to be a men’s lacrosse coach. He now strives to make a life, not make a living.
Keely McDonald ’00 | Head Coach Keely McDonald ’00 takes a balanced approach toward life and extends it to her teaching as the leader of Brown Women’s Lacrosse.
Anna Willard ’06 | It wasn’t until adversity struck that 2008 Olympian and Brown alumna Anna Willard ’06 realized the deep benefits of her Brown athletics experience.
